Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ali Alizada met with Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Foreign Secretary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and handed him a copy of his credentials.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, congratulating the ambassador on his new appoinment, Foreign Secretary stated that  Pakistan has always been with Azerbaijan, backing the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and both countries enjoy mutual agreement on various international issues.

Highlighting the warm and friendly ties existing between the leaders and the peoples of both countries, Foreign Secretary stressed Ministry’s willingness at any time to assist the activities of Azerbaijan Embassy in the development of bilateral relations.  

Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Alizada expressed he was honored to be appointed ambassador to friendly and brotherly country Pakistan. He said Azerbaijan always highly appreciates Pakistan’s support on justified position of Azerbaijan regarding Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, conveying the gratitude for just approach and cordial attention. Ambassador emphasized his determination to make every effort into the direction of enhancing brotherly relations existing between both countries and nations, intensifying already close ties and ongoing projects.

During the meeting, views on the current state and future development prospects of bilateral relations were exchanged.
